Gothic lace
Of Italian or perhaps Egyptian origin according to some historians, lace is a fabric made by hand or by machine from natural silk, linen or nylon, the embroidery of which forms patterns or designs. Precious, a symbol of elegance and refinement, mechanisation has allowed lace to be democratised and today we can find fashion articles that include it at very accessible prices.
This material brings a lot of romanticism and is therefore widely used in our gothic fashion collections but also retro, pin-up and lolita. It can be combined with satin ruffles on velvet or even leather clothes. We find black or coloured lace on our blouses, long and short dresses, jackets and coats but also our gothic masks.
Fishnet stockings
Lace but also fishnet which is a fabric composed of a mesh of threads drawing a more or less fine grid of which we make stockings but also mittens or jumpers, very appreciated by the gothic movement. L'antre de Syria offers a rich collection of stockings, tights, fishnet knee-highs and mittens.
Retro umbrellas and fans
With a romantic Victorian influence, the traditional wooden and lace parasol is a great accessory for a gothic lolita outfit in the summer months. Similarly, a retro fan adds a very romantic touch to a sweet lolita outfit. Our parasols and fans have a wooden frame and are made of satin, nylon or cotton.
