The Victorian Gothic style
Victorian Gothic style
Straight out of the British Victorian era, which lasted nearly 60 years, this fashion is mainly characterised by long dresses, skirts with crinoline or petticoat, strapless corsets, blouses with ruffles, frock coats, but also boleros and cape. Accessories include hats, umbrellas, canes and various hair ornaments.
Victorian Gothic style for women
Victorian and gothic fashion for women was initially characterised by long period dresses, lace-up boots, hats with ribbons and feathers and lace parasols. This fashion has been modernised and combined with the gothic movement to match current and alternative dress codes and can therefore be worn for a play as well as for everyday life.
Victorian Gothic style for men
For men, Victorian fashion includes frock coats, jackets and tailcoats. As for accessories, top hats and canes are all the rage, as are pocket watches, which are also found in the steampunk movement!
